KRISTINE WASHBURN

Professor of Physics and Astronomy

Everett Community College

Welcome to Kristine Washburn's homepage at Everett Community College. I teach Physics and Astronomy and am the faculty advisor for the Society of Women Engineers.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Math and Physics with a minor in Astronomy. I then went on to the University of Washington to get masters degrees in Astronomy and Physics. My research was in neutrino astronomy but I spent a lot of my time teaching and doing public outreach. After graduating, I worked in the Washington NASA Space Grant office doing education work. In fall of 2006 I started as a tenure-track professor at Everett Community College.

I use this site to post the syllabuses for my courses and my schedule. I teach the algebra and calculus-based introductory physics sequences, conceptual physics and an assortment of astronomy courses. For my current courses see the links at the very top of the page.
