There are several web sites that can help you plan a move. The first thing you need is a checklist. There will be a million things going through your head. Try to focus on one thing at a time.
- How many boxes will you need?
- How much will it cost to rent a truck?
- Will it be cheaper to hire a moving company?
- Will you have a job when you get there?
- Where will you be living when you get there?

How much is this move going to cost?
Let's face it! Everything costs money. If you don't have any, it is probably not a good idea to move out of state. If there is no way to avoid moving, you will need a few thousand dollars.
- Do you have the funds available?
- Will your family lend you the money?
- Can you get a loan?
