Gnomes have a habit of popping up from time to time in magazines, films, and even videogames. Keep your eyes peeled and you may spot one yourself.GnomeCentral’s recorded pop culture gnome sightings:
Amélie
This award winning foreign film gained popularity and extensive media attention for it’s artistic style, unique characters, entertaining premise, and inventive storyline. A story which included the abduction of a gnome. Midway through the film the main character (Amélie) nabs a neighbor’s garden dweller and sends it offa journey around the globe.
Resistance: Fall of Man
In addition to being one of the very first games released for the Sony PlayStation 3, R:FOM was the very first title to bring gnomes to the PS3. Hidden throughout the game are several gnomes, which, when located unlock a bonus in-game objective.

This popular Seattle-based alternative radio station has recently adopted as their mascot a gnome. This pint size station representative makes his way around the United States promoting concert ticket giveaways and periodically gracing the airwaves with his presence.
Half-Life 2: Episode 2
During the opening portion of HL2: Ep. 2 curious players can find a gnome hidden beneath some rubble. If the player so desires, the gnome can be carried throughout the entire game. In addition, for an in-game bonus objective the gnome in question may be placed in a satellite rocket and shot off into space.
