- March 20, 2009 Have a good Spring Break!
The final exams and class grade has been calculated and posted. The final grade is also posted through the Kiosk. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks again for a great class and all the feedback. Have a good break and stay in contact. I always get a few requests for outside businesses to update/create a web site, so I can pass it on to anyone who may be interested. For outside contact info., I am the profile 'wilzdezign' on Steam, Skype, Twitter and 'wfrankhouser' on LinkedIn.
- March 9, 2009 Final Presentations
Be prepared for your final project class presentation tonight. Please allow each team member to provide feedback and present parts of the project. If you group is interested in having their project under Student Final Projects on the class web site, please let me know before you present. Be safe in making your way in!
- March 4, 2009 Final Note for Final Project - Remember...
- Include references to any images, graphics, media, etc. - including the author and web address (Don't say Google images as a reference)
- Look over the requirements for the Final Project to hit each bullet point
- Be ready to present your project as a group on Monday, March 9. Each team will get 10 minutes to present and then have class feedback.
Also.. Any last assignments or forum discussions that have not been turned in, are due by Friday, March 13 to receive any points.
- February 27, 2009 Only One More Week
The Final Projects are due Sunday, March 8 at midnight. Please make sure your team is meeting the goals of the project, before working on anything extra. Be prepared for presentations starting Monday, March 9. Let me know if you have any questions.
Assignment #6 is posted and is your final piece of the puzzle with web forms. Make sure to POST the form data to the new web address.
- February 19, 2009 BizArt Conference Friday and Saturday

Thanks for your patience in this. Assignment #4 is now posted online. The assignment is continued from Assignment #3's part 2, but now you will create a site with multiple pages and links. The assignment is due before midnight on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

The Mid-Term is TODAY! Also, on Wednesday I will be going over your Final Project information, so start thinking about getting in your team.
- January 23, 2009 Web Designer(s) Un-Paid (but good for Resumé) Internship
The Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce is seeking a student(s) to help update the look of their web site. It will be unpaid as their budget is limited, but the designer(s) would be credited and given exposure as the designer. If you are interested and have ideas and skills to redesign the "look", contact me for more information.
- January 21, 2009 Assignment #3 Due Wednesday, Jan 28
This assignment covers both Tutorial 2 and 3 over CSS design and syntax. It is a lot of new syntax properties, but they are followed with a pattern. Learning the pattern of how to put HTML tags in place will become familiar as it will be with CSS properties and values. If you have any questions on the Tutorial or get stuck on some code, please post to the Discussion Forum under Assignment #3

- January 8, 2009 *Attention* -- Anyone willing to use a laptop?
We have a few students still looking to join into our class officially, however we only have 24 computers in the room. If any students are willing and knowingly want to use their personal laptop for their "main station" in the classroom, can you please contact me? We will make sure each student has a desk. As of now, we are looking at just 2 spots. If not, do not worry about it.

If you are affected by the flooding that is happening today/tonight, please contact me -- I myself will not make it home tonight, but will be in class. This morning at 6am when coming to work.. the HWY 530 road was on its way to be flooded and closed. Be aware of any closures that may affect your travel. 2009 is here! Welcome to this introduction class to web page design and development. I am your instructor, William Frankhouser. More information will follow as we start this class on Monday, January 5, 2009. We will be meeting in Shuksan 224 (not 230) on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9:30pm~ish.
Course Book: The book for this course is "Blended HTML, XHTML & CSS" by Henry Bojack (ISBN-10: 1423906519) New Perspectives. You can find copies in the EvCC Bookstore.
